The State University of New York in Albany is sporting a shiny new fleet of Hybrid Thomas Build C2 buses. Brian Zell, a driver for the university was so excited about the switched to Hybrid he produced a video to announce the new buses in his spare time.

YNN Reporter, Elaina Athans, covers the Warwick Central Valley School District and the Federal Grant they were awarded to help cover the cost of purchasing a Hybrid School Bus. The school district purchased a Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner C2 Hybrid.
According to Quality Quarterly, through June 30th, Daimler North America reported more than 21,400 orders for vehicles that meet the 2010 U.S. Environmental Protection Agencty Standards for emissions. These vehicles include sales to major fleets, school buses and truck leasing companies. The orders include more than 16,565 Freightliner brand vehicles.

Leon County is currently building the infrastructure to take full advantage of this emerging techonology while reaping the cost saving benefits of a renewable energy source.
