Matthews Buses Joins the Thomas Celebration at NAPT

Matthews Buses kicked off its 50th Anniversary Celebration at the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) 42nd Annual Summit in Kansas City, Missouri, entertaining customers and working with Thomas Built Buses at their display. Thomas sponsored the gala on Saturday night, November 5 with fine food and magical entertainment.

Scott Goble, Aaron Morrow and Pete Rodriguez from the Matthews Sales Team joined Sales Director Paul Daniels and many of our customers at the Thomas Northeast Regional dinner, hosted by Northeast Regional Sales Manager Tommy Smith. Thomas President Caley Edgerly was among the dignitaries who welcomed customers from throughout the region and spent time with each and every one.

The Trade Show on Tuesday, November 8, saw hundreds of transportation professionals from all over the country visit the Thomas Bus display as well as those of many of the component manufacturers that support the Thomas product. The all-new CNG powered C2 was Thomas’ star of the show with a chassis on display to detail the workings of the newest alternative fuel offering in the Thomas fleet.

The contingent of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation included school personnel, sales professionals and NYAPT Executive Director Peter Manella, who completed his term on the NAPT board. Fairport’s Peter Lawrence was elected as the new Region 1 Board member on November 8.
