New York Grant Program: Extended to December. 30, 2013

Dear Colleagues,
You will recall our late November email announcing that the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) was seeking applications for the New York State Clean School Bus Program, Round 3, until December 28, 2012.

BE ADVISED THAT THE DEADLINE FOR THOSE APPLICATIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO DECEMBER 30, 2013 or until all funds are exhausted!!

Applicants can apply for a project grant to have their currently operating school buses retrofitted with US Environmental Protection Agency or California Air Resource Board certified/verified, emission-reducing technology or New York State Department of Transportation approved diesel fuel-fired coolant heaters that provide supplemental heat for preheating the engine coolant and passenger compartment. Funds are also available to assist with alternate fuels. This program has done much good across the state and members are encouraged to consider applying for funds to help modernize their fleets and advance clean air operations statewide. It’s been ten years since our first collaborative steps with EPA and NYSERDA and what better way to commemorate this milestone but to apply for the funds that are available because these agencies and the industry led the charge to clear the air!

Thanks all!
